Workshop Overview

Presentation

Dear All,

We have the pleasure to announce the 1st Advanced Workshop on Quantitative Proteomics designed to deliver recent knowledge on state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics. The workshop is in the context of a joint initiative between Federal University of Ouro Preto and University of Liverpool (UK), made possible through a Newton Fund & Fapemig approved grant, coordinated by Prof. Rob J. Beynon (Liverpool) and Prof. William de Castro Borges (Ouro Preto).

The programme will cover themes related to quantitative proteomics workflows; label-free/label-free mediated, relative and absolute quantitation; and, experimental design plus statistical analysis in quantitative proteomics.

The three invited international speakers (Prof. Rob Beynon, Prof. Claire Eyers and Phillip Brownridge) belong to the Centre for Proteome Research at the University of Liverpool, a leading world facility both in terms of expertise and instrumentation for cutting-edge Proteomics.

Our workshop will be formatted to receive both researchers and graduate students using quantitative proteomics in their projects. The workshop will be entirely in English. Hurry up and perform your pre-registration as vacancies are limited!!

Instructions

The organizing comittee will select participants based on their previous experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomics and the relevance of this experimental strategy to their ongoing projects.

Applicants should perform their pre-registration until 23th August 2015. Final decision will be available online at this website and also communicated by e-mail on the 24th August 2015.

To confirm attendance, selected applicants will be charged a fee (R$ 150.00 for researchers, professionals and post-doctoral fellows OR R$ 100.00 for graduate students). Payment instructions will be provided in due course.
